Joe D'Ambrosio is a Cleveland native who was wrongfully convicted and spent 21 years on Ohio's death row. Joe was exonerated in January 2012.
Rev. Neil Kookoothe is a Catholic priest, attorney, and critical care nurse. Fr. Kookoothe worked to draw attention to unresolved questions in the case against Joe D'Ambrosio.

Trinity’s Greater Cleveland Congregations Criminal Justice team will hold a write-a-thon. Stop by and write a letter or postcard to legislators and the governor demanding an immediate moratorium on executions in the State of Ohio. Pre-addressed postcards, stationery and pens will be provided. Computers with internet access and printers will also be available, so that you may look up legislator information as needed and also print out your letters, if you prefer to type them rather than write them out by hand. Event will feature a panel of experts who have a personal connection to Ohio's death penalty, including Helen Kopp, a murder victim's family member; Rep. Nickie Antonio, a state legislator who introduced legislation to abolish the death penalty; Rev. Will Mebane, Canon at Trinity Cathedral Episcopal Church; and a member of the law enforcement community.
The forum is presented and developed by high school juniors and CSU's Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs.

Joint death penalty task force meeting scheduled for March 2012
The Ohio Supreme Court's joint task force examining the death penalty will have its next meeting on May 17, 2012 at the Ohio State Bar Association from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
The meeting is open to the public. The Ohio State Bar Association is located at 1700 Lake Shore Dr., Columbus, 43204.
